Isn't it dangerous having a face book account, because people you don't know can find out about you?

I have a facebook account and my friends can go and see my profile, but when other people are with them, they can see it as well. The problem is people in my area think I'm gay because hear things from some of my friends which aren't true. So these people I don't know, actually know how I look because they can see my profile through a friend's account. So everytime I'm on a train or bus or at school, at least a few people say I know that guy is gay, behind my back even tho I can hear them.

yea posting ur info online is dangerous!!! it voids ur privacy...thats why i dont have any account online other than yahoo answers cuz anybody can find you or google Not only friends and strangers can find out about you. potential employers can run an extensive google search just to see if ur'e trustworthy and professional (to see if ure allover the internet)
Reply:not really just don't use your real picture and only have friends that you can trust. You can also block people you don't want to be your friends.
Reply:I don't quite understand how having a facebook made people think you are gay? But just delete it. Also, is there any girl you like? or one that like you? If so a way to get this rumor away is to go out with a girl. then people will realize you aren' t gay! Good luck!
