I am a total nerd.. great in school but zero in socializing.. I don't have many friends.. specially long lasting ones.. I want to use Facebook to my advantage.. socialize while I am home..But I am totally confused.. How do i approach people on facebook that go to my university but I have never spoken to them.

just send them a message or write on their wall and say, "hey i've seen you around and wanted to introduce myself. how's it going?" things like that. it's easy. after you talk a few times, you can set up a meeting. soon you have a whole new network of friends! :-)
