A person on Face book has made a request to be my friend but I haven't got a clue who she is?

And I only use Facebook to make friends with people I know as it is a bit random to make friends with strangers it's like running up to a stranger in the middle of the street and saying "do you want to me my friend"?But me and the person who made the request have six friends in common at university, what do I do accept the request or ginore it?She's not bad looking either!I dont know if i want to make friends with someone I dont know as it is a bit random!I usually use Facebook to keep in touch with people I know!

You never know, someone may have suggested to her that you'd get on well, and if you have friends in common, is it much worse than meeting someone and talking to them down the pub? That's really random, but what's so bad about random anyway!
Reply:EVERYONE you know now started as someone you didn't-so take a risk-turn her into someone you DO know-if you dont get on-you can "block" her or you may ahve found a soulmate-who knows????
Reply:don't send a message if you don't know them as they can see your profile then, if they sent you the request you can see theres, have a look if you don't know them or want to know them then just delete, or you can click on limited profile which blocks as much info you want to give, i have two levels a limited so people cannot see my email, number home time, photos etc and a normal friends where they can see all of it, hope this helps
Reply:u dont no if u want to make friends with somebody u dont no? then how do u make friends? making friends is talkin to strangers, u get to no them, then they become your friends.
Reply:if you have friends in common it's possible you did know her but forgot about her, or she's married and changed her name. Add her, you could always get rid. She probably justs wants to send you loads of drinks or snowglobes anyway.
Reply:I have had this and just sent them a message to ask how i know them! Also you can look at their profile before accepting so it may give you a clue as to who the person is!!
