yeah. just click on the account link when you access your home page (it should be on the right hand corner). There you'll see an option for deactivating your account.
The cool thing is that even you delete it and decide you want it reactivated, facebook will still reactivate your orginial account as it was before, so you don't have to make a completely new one.
