If you are talking about security, I believe facebook is "safer". Myspace still has not corrected this vulnerability that is a big deal which is called "cleartext passwords".
If you go to a banks' site or paypal or anything that deals with high security, you will notice a little lock on the bottom which means that the site has payed for an encryption, which means that anything sent (usernames/passwords ect...) gets encrypted with a long hash of numbers and letters.
Both of these sites do not have this it doesnt look like, and I know for a fact myspace doesnt because if you use any packet sniffer (ethereal) you can capture anyones' username/password over wireless.
With that said, cleartext means that if i run that program, it will give me the username/password of the victim without me having to go through any decrypting. 128/256 bit encryption make it extremely hard if not impossible to crack and that's why any sites that deal with money have to have them.
I can go more in to depth but this is the short answer hope that helps :)
Whats safer myspace or face book?
it matters wat u do with it. set ur profile to private %26amp; adjust the settings caerfully %26amp; chek them often! only add ppl u kno (so no weirdos get to u) %26amp; dont add random pl who compliment u(those are the guys who love u %26amp; then turn their back on u, ujst to mess with u %26amp; thats how al the stories go on the news :( so be safe! may ppl think facebook is safer, buts thats bcuz they make sure no one can see ur profile but the ppl u add as friends, but i think theres a setting for that on myspace, so it doesn't matter. its great that u r concerned. good luck!
Reply:I think that both of the are safe. Both support https:// which means you ahev a secure connection. As far as i know, neither one of them have been breached. And if you are like alot of people, sign up for both. I mean why not? I do not use either one, but I have researched it.
Reply:I would guess safebook because it's newer and there's alot of younger ppl on it...but, It will probably end up getting bad like myspace eventually....
Reply:You know what's really safe?
Not putting stupid stuff like addresses, phone numbers etc on, reviewing friend requests before you add and making your profile private.
Neither is really 'safer,' it's just that you have to be vigilant about your personal details!
Reply:myspace
facebook wants all your personal details adress, phone number n ****
they'll be asking pin number n sort code next!
Reply:facebook
Reply:I would say Myspace, because you can use an alias. On FaceBook, your name is right there, in big letters and you can't hide it.
Reply:Facebook definetly!
Reply:seriously, Facebook is wayy better. people can hack your myspace alot easier as well. plus facebook is much better. there is no gay 12 year old scene kids. so its the best.
